Megastar Robbie Williams will be at the opening of his first solo art exhibition in Amsterdam next month, at the privately-owned Moco Museum in the cityβs museum district.
Williams will personally open the βPride and Self-Prejudiceβ exhibition on March 7, which will run until July, the museum confirmed to Dutch News.
βI love to express myself through my art, and over many years itβs helped me with
some of the challenges Iβve faced,β Williams said in a press statement. βItβs well documented that at times Iβve experienced poor mental health, and during these times art and humour have been really useful tools for me.β
Williams, recently the subject of a successful Netflix series about his life, began creating art as a way to cope with his inner demons while in rehab in the 1990s.
Mocoβs website gives little away about what the visitor can expect. βOne room is bursting with colour; another is scaled back to black and white,β it says.
Some of the works of art will βcome to lifeβ digitally. βQuotes will make you stop, think, laugh, and question the pressure to present inner worlds in a consistent, understandable way to the outside world.β
Tickets go on sale on Thursday.
